OverView Chosun Minhwa Museum finished construction in 1998, in Waseok-ri, Gimsatga-myeon, Yeongwol-gun, Gangwon-do and opened on July 29, 2000. The museum contains about 3,000 folk paintings (minhwa) from the Joseon era and is comprised of a hands-on program hall where visitors can paint a minhwa on a wood plate and the chunhwa (obscene painting) exhibition which is eligible for only adults.

In addition to this museum, Gimsatgat Culture Hall and Indian Art Museum are also in Yeongwol.
Directions [Bus]
From Centeral City Terminal or Dong Seoul Bus Terminal, take a bus to Yeongwol Intercity Bus Terminal.
Exit the bus terminal and walk left and at the four-way intersection, turn right.
Walk straight 130m to the first bus stop and take Nongeochon Bus bound for Gimsatgat and get off at Minhwa Museum Bus Stop.
